Question 1

How much do professional voice recordings cost for my business phone?

Accepted Answer

Our pay-as-you-go pricing starts at just $80 for 100 words — that’s a single greeting, voicemail, or prompt recorded by a professional voice talent in broadcast-quality audio. For businesses that need multiple messages or plan to update their recordings regularly, our Word Credits offer volume discounts that bring the per-word cost down significantly. You can view our full pricing breakdown on our pricing page, or contact our team to find the best option for your needs.

Question 2

Why do businesses invest in professional voice recordings for their phone systems?

Accepted Answer

For businesses with multiple locations, complex auto attendants, or high call volumes, the phone system is often the first — and most frequent — point of contact with customers. A professionally recorded IVR, auto attendant, and on-hold experience builds immediate trust and presents a consistent brand across every location, department, and phone line. This is especially important for organizations like banks, medical clinics, and retail chains where callers expect a polished, reliable experience no matter which branch they reach. Snap Recordings ensures that consistency with a dedicated script review team, professional editors, and vetted voice talent who specialize in telephone audio — so every prompt, greeting, and on-hold message sounds like it belongs to the same brand.

Question 3

How does the RealVoice ordering process work?

Accepted Answer

Getting started is simple. First, browse our voice talent library and select the voice that best represents your brand — we have over 150 professional voices to choose from. Next, write your scripts or let our team help — every order includes a script review by our professional editors to make sure your messages sound polished and caller-friendly. Once your scripts are finalized, our voice talent records your messages in a professional studio environment. You’ll receive your completed recordings in your preferred audio format, ready to upload to your phone system. The entire process is managed through your online account, so you can track progress and access all your recordings in one place.

Question 4

How long does it take to get my recordings?

Accepted Answer

Standard turnaround is 3–4 business days from the time your order is placed and scripts are confirmed. If you’re in a hurry, our rush service delivers recordings in just 1–2 business days. Either way, you’ll receive broadcast-quality recordings from a professional voice talent — we never cut corners on quality to meet a deadline.

Question 5

What audio file formats do you deliver, and will they work with my phone system?

Accepted Answer

We deliver recordings in all major audio formats including WAV, MP3, and other formats optimized for telephony like µlaw codecs. Our recordings are compatible with virtually every business phone system on the market — whether you’re using RingCentral, 8x8, Avaya, Cisco, Mitel, or any other platform. If you’re not sure what format your system requires, our team can help you figure it out and deliver files that are ready to upload and go live immediately.

Question 6

How many voice talents do you have, and can I hear samples before ordering?

Accepted Answer

We have over 150 professional voice talents available in English, Spanish, and French — spanning a wide range of styles, tones, and personalities, from warm and conversational to polished and corporate. Every voice in our library is a vetted professional who specializes in telephone audio, so you know the recording will sound right on a phone system. You can listen to samples of every voice directly on our website before placing your order, so you can find the perfect match for your brand. Need recordings in additional languages? Contact our support team — we have a dedicated partner network covering a wide range of languages and regional accents.

Question 7

Can I manage recordings across multiple locations or phone lines?

Accepted Answer

Yes — this is one of the things we do best. Many of our customers are multi-location businesses that need consistent phone greetings, IVR prompts, and on-hold messages across dozens or even hundreds of locations. Through your Snap Recordings account, you can manage all of your recordings in one place, reuse the same voice talent across every location for brand consistency, and roll out updates across your entire organization efficiently. Whether you’re a bank with 50 branches, a healthcare network with clinics across multiple states, or a retail chain expanding into new markets, our platform and team are built to scale with you.

Question 8

What’s the difference between using Snap Recordings vs. hiring someone on Fiverr or Upwork?

Accepted Answer

It comes down to specialization and reliability. Snap Recordings is purpose-built for telephone audio — it’s all we do. Every voice talent in our roster is vetted and specializes in phone system recordings, which require a very different approach than a podcast voiceover or YouTube narration. Your order goes through our dedicated script review team and professional editors before it reaches the recording booth, so the final product is polished, error-free, and optimized for the caller experience. With a freelance marketplace, you’re managing the project yourself — finding talent, evaluating quality, handling revisions, and hoping the audio format works with your system. With us, you get a managed, reliable process with consistent quality every time, and when you need to update or add messages down the road, your voice and account history are already on file.

Question 9

Should I use AI text-to-speech or a real voice actor for my business phone system?

Accepted Answer

It depends on your priorities, and the good news is we offer both. Our Phonzai platform gives you instant AI-generated messages that sound natural and professional — ideal when you need something fast, want to iterate on scripts quickly, or need to scale across many messages and locations. RealVoice, on the other hand, gives you recordings from professional human voice talent — the gold standard when brand perception, caller trust, and emotional connection are top priorities. Many of our customers use both: Phonzai for speed and flexibility on day-to-day updates, and RealVoice for their primary greetings and brand-facing messages where that human touch makes the biggest impact. Our team can help you figure out the right mix for your business.

Question 10

Can I use the same voice talent for future updates and new messages?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely. When you order through Snap Recordings, your voice talent selection and account history stay on file. So when you need to update a seasonal greeting, add a new department prompt, or expand your message library, you can use the same voice for a consistent brand experience across every touchpoint. This continuity is one of the biggest advantages of working with a dedicated recording service — your brand voice stays consistent even as your messages evolve over time.

Question 11

How much do on-hold messages cost, and what’s included?

Accepted Answer

On-hold messages are priced separately from greetings and prompts because they include both a professional voice recording and a licensed music track. A one-time on-hold message starts at $150 and includes 100 words of professionally recorded voice-over paired with your choice of music track, delivered in 3–4 business days with no contract obligation. For businesses that update their on-hold messaging regularly — like seasonal promotions, rotating tips, or new product announcements — our on-hold subscription starts at $55/month and includes voice recording credits, unlimited access to our music library, and a drag-and-drop message creator that makes it easy to build and update messages on your schedule.
